Eduardo Amaral Haddad
Eduardo Amaral Haddad is Full Professor at the Department of Economics since 2008 at the University of São Paulo, Brazil and is the Director of Research of FIPE, a research foundation at the same University since October 2005. Prof. Haddad also holds a position as Adjunct Associate Professor at the Regional Economics
Applications Laboratory (REAL) since January 1998 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA.
Rabah Arezki heads the commodities research team in the IMF Research Department. He is also a non-resident fellow at the Brookings Institution and at the University of Oxford. During his career at the Fund, he has worked in the IMF Institute and Africa, Fiscal Affairs, Middle East and Central Asia Departments. He has led and participated in various IMF missions such as surveillance, program, training and technical assistance in West Africa, Gulf Countries, Iraq, Liberia and the Maghreb. He has delivered lectures at IMF regional training centers in Austria, Kuwait and throughout Africa as well as at academic institutions in the United States, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Azzeddine Azzam is professor of agricultural economics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA since April 1987. From January 2010 to December 2011, he served as senior economic advisor at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and as the chair of the economics department at the University of Dubai.
Uri Dadush is a senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He focuses on trends in the global economy and is currently also tracking developments in the eurozone crisis. Before joining Carnegie, Dadush’s experience was split evenly between the public and private sector, where he led a number of business-turnaround situations.
Prakash Loungani is chief of the Development Macroeconomics Division in the IMF’s Research Department and was co-chair of the IMF’s Jobs and Growth working group from 2011-15. He is also an adjunct professor of management at Vanderbilt University’s Owen School, where he has taught in the Executive MBA program since 2001, and a Senior Fellow at OCP Policy Center.
Paulo Picchetti is Researcher at the Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE) and Professor at School of Economics of São Paulo (EESP); Doctor’s degree in Economics at the University of Illinois, Master’s degree in Economics at FEA/USP.
Romain Rancière is Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund (Institute for Capacity and Development) and Professor of Economics (on leave) at Paris School of Economics. He will be joining the faculty at University of Southern California in January 2017 as a Professor of Economics. Romain Rancière obtained his PhD in Economics from NYU in 2003 following undergraduate studies in Economics and Philosophy at Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris.
Abdelkhalek Touhami is Professor of higher education at the National Institute of statistics and applied economics (INSEA), Rabat, Morocco. He is also associate researcher at the Centre for research and development in economy (C.R.D.E.) of the University of Montréal and at the Center of Research in Economy and Applied Finance at Laval University in Quebec, Canada. He is also a Consultant Bank for several studies since 2001and a Researcher collaborator and Professor visitor to the Arab Planning Institute – Kuwait.
